Peter Obi: Rufai Oseni: "We Must Not Hear Any Story Of Mysterious Accident"

 

Ahead of the 2027 election, Arise Television host Rufai Oseni called on authorities to defend NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi "at all costs."

A lawsuit to force President Bola Tinubu to give Peter Obi the highest level of protection was granted a hearing by the Abuja Federal High Court.

Adams Oshiomhole, a senator from Edo North, criticized Obi's presidential aspirations on TVC on Monday, characterizing him as politically inconsistent and short-sighted.

Before the 2027 election, Nigerian media celebrity Rufai Oseni has stated that Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress's (NDC) 2027 presidential candidate, ought to be protected at all costs.

According to KohlorsMedia, the statement was made following the Abuja Federal High Court's approval of a lawsuit aimed at forcing President Bola Tinubu to give Peter Obi the highest level of security.

Rufia Oseni emphasized that nothing must happen to Peter Obi when discussing the development on Arise Television's "Morning Show."

"Peter Obi must be protected at all costs, and the unresolved circumstances behind the killings of Bola Ige and Funsho Williams remain a bitter reminder that we must never take the safety of our political leaders for granted," he declared.

We are not allowed to hear about any inexplicable incidents or unusual accidents. For the upcoming election, he has to be alive, secure, and present. 

Remember how Peter Obi and John Oyegun, a prominent member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), managed to avoid being attacked by thugs in Benin City, Edo State, in February 2026?

As Peter Obi, Oyegun, and members of the Obidient Movement were making their way from the ADC secretariat to Oyegun's home, armed thugs opened fire on them.

In the meantime, Peter Obi's presidential aspirations have been rejected by Edo North senator Adams Oshiomhole, who claims the former governor of Anambra State has the long-term vision needed to lead Nigeria.

In an interview with TVC on Monday, Oshiomhole made the comments, characterizing Obi as a trader whose choices were influenced by short-term calculations.

"A trader is Peter Obi. Traders are not interested in long-term forecasts; instead, they have short-term calculations. They are not programmed to consider the long-term consequences of the circumstance. He stated, "The turnover is within three months, with a maximum of six months."

Recalling Obi's earlier statement that he would stay in the All Progressives Grand Alliance in memory of the late Biafran leader Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the former governor of Edo State also questioned Obi's political consistency.

Oshiomhole claims that after serving as governor, Obi broke that pledge.
