ADC: "Three Arms of Government Are Willing To Do Only What Tinubu Wants"

Bolaji Abdullahi, national spokesperson for the African Democratic Congress, stated that the court, legislature, and executive branch now exclusively carry out President Bola Tinubu's directives.

Abdullahi accused the National Assembly, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, of supporting Tinubu's impunity in an appearance on Symfoni TV, citing alleged unbudgeted spending of ₦8.8 trillion.

Additionally, Abdullahi claimed that Tinubu's administration disobeys court decisions, operates three budgets concurrently, and utilizes legal proceedings to weaken democracy and opposition parties.

According to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), all three branches of government have united around President Bola Tinubu's authority and are prepared to comply with his directives.

According to KohlorsMedia, Bolaji Abdullahi, the national spokesperson for the ADC, made this claim in a Symfoni TV interview.

Abdullahi maintained that Tinubu's administration has overreached itself in Nigerian governance.

He claims that the National Assembly, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, is assisting President Tinubu in controlling the nation with impunity.

"This Tinubu-led APC government has crossed the line so many times that we have forgotten where the line was in the first place," he said.

The goal of the checks and balances principle is to prevent dictatorship by fostering what is known as positive tension between the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government. The National Assembly and the judiciary exist for this reason.

However, you discover that the three branches of government now seem to have united under President Tinubu's authority and are solely prepared to carry out the president's wishes.

For the first time, our administration has failed to execute the national budget. The National Assembly, the people's representatives, pass the budget. Additionally, it becomes a law as soon as the president signs it.

What do you call it when you are managing three budgets concurrently and none of them have been implemented? An foreign body informed us a few weeks ago that this government has spent almost 8.8 trillion naira on unbudgeted expenses. If that is a legal infraction and not an impeachable offense, then what is?

How many times has this government blatantly disregarded court orders? How many times have they blatantly broken Nigerian law and gotten away with it thanks to the National Assembly's active cooperation under Senate President Godswill Akpabio?

"The opposition political parties have been undermined by everything this government has done. Where are all these court cases coming from? Democracy has been weakened by this administration.
