According to Emeka Ezeh, Wike instructed the commission to start the 2026 promotion process right away, cautioning applicants that promotions are tough, merit-based, and dependent on open positions.

Following the successful conclusion of the 2025 promotion exercise carried out by the FCT government Service Commission, 3,592 government officials have been accepted for promotion by Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike.

According to Naija News, the promotion is a part of President Bola Tinubu's third anniversary, according to FCT Civil Service Commission Chairman Emeka Ezeh, who made the announcement.

Remember that in honor of the President's third anniversary, the FCT saw the commissioning and flag-off of more than thirty projects from June 8 to July 17, 2026.

According to Ezeh, the move demonstrates the Federal Capital Territory Administration's dedication to employee welfare in keeping with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to him, junior employees took their exams on July 10, while senior executives took their promotion exams between July 1 and 3.

He praised Wike for giving the commission the assistance it needed to carry out its mandated duties effectively.

He claims that in order to guarantee that qualified officers receive promotions on time and without needless delays, the minister has also instructed the commission to start the 2026 promotion process right away.

Promotions for FCT employees are a top emphasis under this government. This is to commend the FCT Minister's outstanding work in the Territory's infrastructure development, and we believe that the workers will be included in the festivities commemorating Mr. President's third anniversary," he stated.

According to Ezeh, the decision demonstrates the administration's commitment to enhancing employee welfare and career development in addition to the continuing infrastructure transformation throughout the Federal Capital Territory.

As the Tinubu government celebrates its third anniversary, he pointed out that the action will guarantee civil servants also gain from the accomplishments being documented under it.

The chairman of the commission commended FCT government servants for their calm and orderly behavior during the 2025 promotion exercise and urged officers anticipated to take part in the 2026 exercise to uphold the same standard of professionalism and discipline.

Additionally, he thanked the Joint Union Action Committee (JUAC) leadership for their collaboration and support, which helped make the promotion exercise a success.

Ezeh reminded potential applicants that promotion in the FCT Civil Service is merit-based, extremely competitive, and contingent upon the availability of vacancies, advising them to start preparing early for the 2026 promotion exercise.
